The Chesaning Area Friends of the Library will be bringing back the Annual Art Fair to the library after a 23-year hiatus. Records indicate that the library held the 18th annual fair in the spring of 1986. There hasn't been an Art Fair since. This year's fair will run April 14th thru the 18th during library hours. Area residents are invited to submit artwork of all types and mediums for display and/or a silent auction.
The Art Fair will be held during National Library Week, the week to celebrate loving your library. The library will be filled with samples from area artists.
Special features of this year's event will include the Children's Art Display, demonstrations of crafts and a silent auction with proceeds going to the Chesaning Area Friends of the Library to sponsor different projects at the library throughout the year. A reception will be held on Saturday April 18th to announce silent auction winners and celebrate art. Area artists are encouraged to participate as well as local schools. Adult artists may donate an item for the silent auction. Pre-registration is going on now. You can pick up registration form at the library or online at www.chesaninglibrary.org.
